Hi, I’m Nikhila Shaju, the founder and hands behind the creations you see here in Cakes for You.
My journey into baking didn’t begin in a professional kitchen. It began at home, during a quiet yet uncertain time in the world, when the world was in a pandemic, it is where when I baked my very first cake for my son’s first birthday. What started as a simple, heartfelt gesture soon turned into something much bigger than I ever imagined.
With no formal training but a deep passion, I taught myself the art of baking one recipe, one experiment, and one celebration at a time. Each cake became more than just a dessert. It became a story, a memory, a moment shared with loved ones.
Before this, I spent over a decade in the airline industry and a career that taught me precision, discipline and the beauty of connecting people from different walks of life. But somewhere along the way, I felt a calling to build something of my own something that reflected who I truly am.
Fueled by my love for family, inspired by my cultural roots, and motivated by my journey as a woman entrepreneur, I took a leap of faith. What began as a small home-based hobby has now grown into a fulltime business built on passion, creativity, and connection.
Today, I don’t just bake cakes I create experiences. Every design, every flavor, and every detail is crafted to bring people together and make life’s moments a little more special.
